The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in "advanced" countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in "advanced" countries.

    hello, i'm totewaffe, and this is my site.

    i do a lot of things here, so there's really no encompassing description--especially as of right now. everything's a mess, so don't come in here expecting much. the homepage is the only thing i have right now. sorry :) this is all hand-coded, so updates will be often, but not significant. once i'm further along, i plan on adding an update log.

    other than that, i have a lot of stuff on the links in the sidebars--for the most part. i'm planning on joining webrings and more cliques, but i wanted to have more things on my site before i did that. most webrings have a general rule that you have to have SOMETHING on there anyway. oh and my about page isnt done but it's suitable for viewing so maybe check that out. i wanted to add some more stuff i liked on there--but it's not a big priority right now.
